Summary

Join Vanta as the Billing Operations Manager and play a major role in our Order to Cash process, overseeing customer billing lifecycle, and ensuring operational excellence. You will lead a team of billing specialists, manage billing system infrastructure, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop automated systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working in billing in a SaaS environment
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, fostering a collaborative environment, and guiding staff to achieve operational excellence in billing operations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize, and take initiative
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and lead complex initiatives
  • Proficiency in Zendesk, Salesforce, NetSuite (or similar ERP systems), Stripe, and Bill.com

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of billing specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Manage and maintain the billing system infrastructure, ensuring it is optimized for scalability and integration with other platforms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Account Management, GTM Operations & Systems, and Legal to identify areas for enhancing the customer experience and streamline Order-to-Cash processes
  • Assist with continuous process improvement and development of automated systems including enhancements to Billing tools
  • Handle complex customer escalations related to billing inquiries, disputes, and credits
  • Continue to develop and implement policies and procedures to scale with the business
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing operations, and customer billing
