Summary

Join CINTER as a Part-time Bookkeeper, working remotely with occasional office visits in Cincinnati, OH. You will manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the accounting/finance team. Responsibilities include handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), intercompany transactions, monthly reconciliations, and assisting with year-end tax preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting software. Flexible work arrangements are offered to support work-life balance. Compensation is DOE ($20-30 per hour).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MS Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and year-end tax preparation
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Process and record vendor invoices
  • Verify and reconcile vendor statements
  • Manage and monitor AP aging reports
  • Generate and send invoices to customers and clients
  • Track and apply payments received and reconcile accounts receivable balances
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
  • Prepare intercompany transfer requests and reconcile intercompany accounts
  • Must be comfortable creating Journal Entries
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including accruals and adjustments as needed
  • Assist in the month-end close process
  • Update supporting documentation and schedules
  • Assist in gathering and organizing financial data for year-end tax filings
  • Prepare supporting documents and schedules required for tax preparation
  • Help with the preparation of 1099s and other required tax forms
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus
  • Multi-company accounting experience preferred
