Bookkeeper

Summary

Join MedVA as a Bookkeeper to manage corporate financial operations, including tax filings, invoicing, and insurance billing. You will conduct financial audits, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance. Experience with QuickBooks, tax filings, invoicing, and insurance billing is essential. Schedule flexibility, including weekend availability, is required. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Must have schedule flexibility, including availability for weekend shifts and variable hours
• Willing to work a changing/rotating schedule
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Experience with managing tax filings, invoicing, and insurance billing (US)
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across departments

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax documents in compliance with local and national regulations
• Generate, process, and track invoices for clients, vendors, and internal departments
• Conduct financial audits related to revenue, accounts, and tax returns to ensure accuracy and transparency
• Manage insurance billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and follow-ups
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit readiness
• Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and tax consultants as needed
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and legal standards
• Pulling out reports from Athena for Audit
