Summary
Join Bosch Security Systems as a Business Development Manager (BDM) and lead the development of strategies, sales, and marketing activities to drive new and existing end-user relationships for Access Control and Intrusion solutions. This remote position, commutable to a major airport, focuses on developing new end-user opportunities within the retail vertical. You will leverage cross-functional relationships and your existing network to accelerate growth in the North American market. Success hinges on developing strategies, identifying target clients, generating leads, and collaborating with integrators. The role also involves attending industry meetings, presenting solutions, gathering customer feedback, and managing projects via the company's CRM system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma is required
- 3-5 years security industry (Access/Intrusion) experience, working with customers, preferably in the retail vertical
- 3+ yearsโ experience, with demonstrated success, working with security products in business development required
- Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Must possess very strong presentation skills
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to overcome obstacles; be resourceful, action oriented and tenacious
- Use Microsoft Office proficiently (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Willingness to travel up to 70% within geographic region is required
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies, action plans, and relationships to influence the specification and purchase of Bosch Security Systems product offerings within the North America markets, primarily within the retail vertical
- Identify, qualify, and develop target clients by business potential and/or industry influence
- Generate, follow-up and win project leads
- Leverage integrator channel for the installation/support of end user deployments
- Attend industry and trade association meetings; support PR activities
- Prospect potential architects, engineers, consultants, and decision-makers within the retail vertical
- Coordinate, present, discuss, and follow up on technical/commercial solutions with prospects and decision-makers
- Gather and provide feedback on customer product requirements, market trends, customer/end-user needs to internal stake holders
- Manage contacts, prospects, opportunities, and projects via the Bosch Security Systems approved CRM system
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masterโs degree in a technical field, marketing, management or related field is preferred
- Knowledge of access control and intrusion product technology integrations preferred
- Working knowledge and experience in the design and installation of security IP/IT products
- Industry affiliations and certifications are a plus
