Join a dynamic team at Detroit Labs as a Business Development Manager, where you'll prospect and acquire new clients, drive sales, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience selling strategy, consulting, and digital solutions in the tech services, custom software, strategy, cloud, and/or IT space
  • Possess a β€œhunter” mindset, adept at cultivating a dynamic sales pipeline and acquiring new business through a range of outreach campaigns and strategic approaches
  • Possesses a demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or surpassing sales quotas, with expertise in selling substantial, multi-year digital products across varying sales cycles, both long and short term
  • Able to sell the first project to a brand new client relationship
  • Accomplished at building relationships with C-level executives and decision makers
  • Ability to travel and entertain new and existing relationships
  • Experience working collaboratively with delivery teams to create contracts, proposals, pitch decks, and sales collateral
  • Ability to navigate client challenges and objections, and work creatively to provide appropriate solutions
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills across large and small audiences, and across different corporate audiences. Skilled at presenting to C-level executives and decision makers
  • Ability and excitement to research and explore new and emerging technologies to provide best fit solutions to our clients
  • Willingness to learn and grow in understanding of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion

Responsibilities

  • Sell new business opportunities for our digital strategy, custom design, custom software, staffing, and hosting offerings
  • Conduct warm and cold outreach to generate new business leads
  • Build a healthy pipeline of new qualified companies and logos
  • Build relationships with clients built on trust, respect, and results
  • Think creatively to come up with custom solutions to fit client needs that align with budget, timelines, and capabilities
  • Build new business contacts and relationships, and partner with our account team to grow and foster existing client relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams (stakeholders, account, legal, marketing, project) to create contracts, proposals, and sales decks, scope new work, and create sales proposals and pitches to new and existing clients
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, and leadership teams to create and execute new business development strategies

  • Uncapped on target earning (OTE) of $250,000/yr in bonus payout based on performance
