Summary
Join our team as a Business Development Manager and lead our team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs)! You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing RSM performance, and driving revenue growth. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. You will also be responsible for hiring, training, and developing the RSM team. The position involves periodic travel and requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of sales management experience. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- At least three years in sales management required

- Successful track record of sales growth and sales strategy development
- Periodic travel for events, joint trips with RSMs, and in person sales meetings. Roughly 30 travel days per year
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 pounds, occasional bending and reaching
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, and train Regional Sales Managers in accordance with the hiring plan to meet business strategic goals
- Help develop and coordinate business strategy with Regional Sales Managers
- Train and develop growing team of Regional Sales Managers in a remote environment
- Formal and informal performance reviews
- Manage RSM team expenses
- Manage standard operating procedures (SOPβs) and key performance indicators for RSM team
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Support national and regional strategies and goals
- Support development of sales plans; execute competitive customer-centric sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Set short-term and long-term goals that drive regional sales growth
- Analysis of product group trends for each region
- Utilize metrics and forecasting models to adjust sales strategies as needed
- Build, manage, and coach a high-performing relationship-based sales team
- Continuously monitor RSM expenses are inline with company guidelines and complete an annual review of necessary changes
- Provide guidance and leadership to the RSM team; assist with resolution of concerns and issues with customer accounts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with execution of national and regional strategy and goals, specifically: IT, Marketing and Procurement
- Attend, collaborate, and lead RSM team and individual virtual meetings
- Participate in professional development and attend industry conferences, trade shows, and events to build relationships internally and externally
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with Director of National Accounts on regional, product, customer and personnel strategy
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
- At least five years of industry-related experience preferred
