Summary

Evolving Web is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help expand their client list and grow in new markets. The role requires 5+ years of experience in a business development role, preferably in an agency, strong public speaking skills, experience selling technology and design services, proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, and the ability to travel.

Requirements

  • 5 + years of experience in a business development role, preferably in an agency
  • A proven track record of successfully managing a team
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Experience selling technology and design services
  • Strong public speaking skills and the ability to comfortably deliver presentations to stakeholders
  • Experience working with institutional clients
  • Experience using Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar software to manage a sales pipeline, rank leads, and prioritize sales efforts
  • A strong understanding of the procurement processes
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Experience selling to the US market
  • Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new clients and develop new business opportunities
  • Attend conferences and other relevant industry events to develop and maintain relationships with customers and generate more business opportunities and collaborations
  • Identify customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies, and connect potential clients to marketing materials
  • Follow up with leads generated through marketing efforts
  • Perform competitive analysis toward an increased market share
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with public sector and non-profit clients
  • Technical curiosity and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
