This remote US-based role involves developing and implementing lead acquisition strategies within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. Requirements
- A Bachelorβs degree in a business or life science discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a life sciences or sales role that includes familiarity with the pharma and biotech drug development process
- Ability to lead presentations and discussions with a scientific audience and the ability to connect the dots between customer needs and relevant services and products
- Ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships
- Confident communication skills, including presentation and negotiation
- Strong experience working with cross-functional teams and building consensus
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a focus on achieving targets and driving growth

Responsibilities
- Develop lead acquisition strategies across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors
- Generate and implement lead-specific strategies for deal closure, including developing customer account plans with detailed analysis of the customer, their pipeline and key stakeholders
- Pitch collaboration opportunities to prospective partners and generate short- and long-term strategies for account expansion
- Lead a cross-functional team across Business Development, Medical, Operations, Data Science, Engineering, and Legal responsible for development of proposals and draft statements of work
- Support contract negotiations with legal, compliance, procurement, and business counterparts
- Ensure a smooth handoff of projects from Business Development to Operations
- Regularly report on the status of the Business Development pipeline and overall Pharma portfolio
- Attend industry conferences and actively network to develop and maintain industry contacts
- May partner to support hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies to build a skilled and engaged team
- May provide direction, mentorship, and coaching to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Clinical Trial Operations, Drug Development R&D and Oncology
- Experience with consultative selling, especially in complex industries where solutions need to be tailored to client needs
- Experience with customer mapping or competitive landscaping
Benefits
- Expected salary range: $127,000 and $172,000
