Join Granicus Australia as a Business Development Manager (Digital Services & Platforms) and be a key player in expanding our client base in the Australia/New Zealand market. This hunter role focuses on generating new customers for our top-tier software and platforms within the government and public sector. You will be responsible for proactive outreach, managing the sales pipeline, and showcasing our innovative solutions. Success in this position requires strong sales skills, experience in SaaS and government contracting, and a passion for making a difference. This remote role offers a flexible work environment, quarterly unplug days, and the opportunity to work with a global leader in GovTech. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, commissions, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of directly relevant professional experience in business development, account and relationship management
- Proficiency in Salesforce
- Previous experience working with government SaaS contracting mechanisms and sales processes
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Experience in the Software as a Service (SaaS) and / or the digital services and platforms industry
- Live in New Zealand, & have Australian or New Zealand Citizenship, or Perm. Resident Alien status
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities within the New Zealand market through a combination of outbound calling, emailing
- Follow up on marketing campaigns and inbound inquiries, and opportunities generated by attending company events and webinars
- Manage a robust sales pipeline from prospecting to close and communicate any challenges or wins to the team
- Gain an understanding of the prospective customer's pain points and educate on Granicus' value
- Highlight our differentiators, effectively demoing the product over video conference, and guiding them through the sales process
- Confidently run product demos for decision-makers of companies varying across all levels of Government
- Work closely with team members to achieve sales goals and work collaboratively with our Product Team and Customer Success Team to support and set expectations for customers
- Travel within your territory to visit prospects and attend industry events as required
- Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program
- Responsible for ensuring the data privacy of our employees and customers, their data, as well as taking all required privacy training in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies
Preferred Qualifications
Commissions and sales incentives are above and beyond this range, and could result in an OTE of $200K+ annual. Compensation also will include an extensive and comprehensive range of benefits
