Summary
Join Cielo as a Business Development Representative and accelerate your career! Work remotely (US and UK only) in a full-time role driving revenue growth. You will identify, engage, and nurture high-value prospects, focusing on developing relationships with key decision-makers. Responsibilities include outbound prospecting, managing inbound inquiries, knowledge gathering, data management, and marketing event support. The role requires proven B2B experience, strong sales skills, and proficiency in CRM platforms. A college degree is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B Business Development, Sales, or Account Management, engaging with C-level and VP-level decision-makers
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-performance environment
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and LinkedIn for prospecting
- Ability to strategically build and expand relationships within prospective client organizations, engaging decision-makers and driving business growth
- Excel in negotiation, value-based selling, and relationship management at the executive level
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver a presentation and answer questions in a prospect facing environment
- Strength in coaching and mentorship to support their peers
- Highly motivated, results driven self-starters
- Achieve monthly and quarterly targets, consistently identifying opportunities to improve individual performance
- Ability to work in a collaborative sales environment, handing off relationships and opportunities to sales partners
- 2+ years of experience in B2B Business Development, Sales, or Account Management, with a focus on selling to enterprise or mid-market clients
- Demonstrated ability to exceed KPIs related to pipeline development, meetings booked, and revenue impact
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities
- Generate new interested and qualified sales leads through networking, targeted campaigns, social media, cold calling, and various other forms of outreach
- Educate and nurture sales leads to ultimately schedule prospect meetings for our sales team
- Develop and execute outbound strategies to generate new business opportunities, leveraging LinkedIn, industry networks, and personalized outreach
- Prospect against a named target list or industry/geographic segments as assigned
- Identify and engage contacts that fit Cielo's Personas within our Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP)
- Monitor buying sign behaviors using sales and marketing tools including but not limited to Marketo and 6Sense to prioritize and tailor outreach strategies
- Leverage data-driven insights, sales intelligence tools (e.g., Marketo, 6Sense), and competitive analysis to prioritize outreach
- Work with sales partners to identify best approach for initial meeting with new prospect
- Schedule meetings with newly identified contacts for sales partners
- Design and update email flows using Groove
- Manage inbound inquiries; distribute to sales partners based on Cielo ICP & Personas
- Disposition of inbound leads not mapped to an ICP
- Update industry Market Maps and use sales data to identify potential prospects
- Capture and report out on competitive intelligence or market trends
- Take feedback from sales partners and use it to refine targeting process
- Update Salesforce (create accounts and contacts; update details on existing records)
- Work with Salesforce support team to identify gaps in database
- Provide pre and post event support in coordination with marketing
- Assist with sending invitations through outreach channels
- Attend exhibitions and trade shows as requested
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Lead Generation, Prospect Sourcing, Inside Sales, or similar function
- Experience in the Talent Acquisition, RPO, Recruitment, or equivalent industry
- Previous experience with sales tools including CRM, research, databases, and workflow automation
- College or University degree
