Requirements
- 8+ yrs. of relevant work experience in BI, analytics, or a related field
- 5+ yrs. experience with SQL and the desire to work with large, complex datasets
- 2+ yrs. of experience managing teams
- MUST have experience leading BI initiatives within a consumer-face environment, such as with an e-commerce or subscription-based business models
- Strong knowledge of Looker, Tableau, Excel, and/or other BI tools
- Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work autonomously
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance competing priorities
- Strong business judgment and high attention to detail
- Desire and ability to help level up other team membersβ knowledge and skills
- Ability to communicate complex and technical information to broad audiences in an effective and compelling manner
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business problems using SQL, Looker, and other languages or BI tools to generate actionable insights
- Lead complex cross-functional projects, partnering with analysts and product teams across the company to continuously optimize our processes
- Design and implement scalable and insightful data and analytics solutions that help to improve decision making
- Establish and maintain best practices for A/B testing
- Deliver key business insights to senior leaders and the board of directors to help optimize business performance and influence strategy
- Help lead and define the vision and strategy of the BI department
- Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and review work of BI analysts and managers
- Support career growth within the department to help retain and attract top talent
- Manage and oversee the responsibilities of BI department members, maximizing the teamβs productivity and impact on the business
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with A/B testing, subscription businesses, marketing-driven businesses, product analytics, web analytics, and database management
