Remote Business Intelligence Director

Summary

The job is for an Associate Director or Director in the BI department of LTV Co., a fast-growing company. The role involves leading cross-functional projects, analyzing complex business problems, and helping establish best practices for A/B testing. The candidate should have a strong foundation in SQL, Looker, Tableau, Excel, or similar tools, and have experience managing people.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, or similar quantitative field
• 8+ yrs. of relevant work experience in BI, analytics, or a related field
• 5+ yrs. experience with SQL and the desire to work with large, complex datasets
• 2+ yrs. of experience managing people

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems using SQL, Looker, and other languages or BI tools to generate actionable insights
• Lead complex cross-functional projects, partnering with analysts and product teams across the company to continuously optimize our processes
• Design and implement scalable and insightful data and analytics solutions that help improve decision making
• Establish and maintain best practices for A/B testing
• Deliver key business insights to senior leaders and the board of directors to help optimize business performance and influence strategy
• Help lead and define the vision and strategy of the BI department
• Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and review work of BI analysts and managers
• Support career growth within the department to help retain and attract top talent
• Manage and oversee the responsibilities of BI department members, maximizing the team’s productivity and impact on the business

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Looker, Tableau, Excel, and/or other BI tools
• Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work autonomously
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance competing priorities
• Strong business judgment and high attention to detail
• Desire and ability to help level up other team members’ knowledge and skills
• Ability to communicate complex and technical information to broad audiences in an effective and compelling manner
