Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in health insurance, benefits administration, automation, or related fields
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving operational success
  • Expertise in strategic planning, automation implementation, and process optimization

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Automation Operations Team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and delivering impactful outcomes
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for automation and carrier technology initiatives, enabling scalability and innovation in benefits administration
  • Lead managers and individual contributors in optimizing automation processes, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as a key leader in cross-functional collaborations, aligning automation initiatives with broader product, engineering, and business goals
  • Analyze operational and business performance data, identifying trends and implementing strategies to drive automation efficiency and effectiveness
  • Partner with executive leadership to communicate progress, surface opportunities, and advocate for resources to support automation initiatives
  • Act as a thought leader, staying ahead of industry trends and incorporating best practices to advance automation capabilities
  • Manage escalations for complex issues, ensuring effective resolution and implementing preventative measures for long-term success
  • Drive employee development and succession planning, ensuring the team is equipped to meet current and future challenges

  • Our cash compensation amount for this role is $105,000 to $156,000/yr in Denver & most major metro locations, and $123,000 to $191,000/yr for San Francisco & New York
  • Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role)
