Join the inaugural team at the Office of the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct (OGSCC) as a Communications and Member Service Coordinator! You will develop and execute communications strategies, manage member relations, and provide administrative support to the Adjudicator and Board of Directors. Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role involving communications, member services, and administrative functions
  • Be fluent in both English and French (written and spoken)
  • Possess strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences
  • Be proficient with website content management systems, social media platforms, and tools like Microsoft Office and Zoom

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communications strategies to engage and inform stakeholders about the Code of Conduct and its initiatives
  • Create, manage, and disseminate newsletters, press releases, and other external communications
  • Oversee the content and functionality of the OGSCC website, ensuring information is accurate, relevant, and user-friendly
  • Manage the OGSCCโ€™s social media presence, including content creation, posting, and engagement
  • Act as a primary point of contact for media inquiries, drafting responses in collaboration with the Adjudicator as needed
  • Lead efforts to recruit and onboard new members to the OGSCC, ensuring they understand the benefits and responsibilities of participation
  • Serve as the primary liaison for members, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed
  • Manage the Adjudicatorโ€™s calendar, scheduling appointments and ensuring efficient time management
  • Organize and manage meetings of the OGSCC Board of Directors, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings and organizational documents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience supporting boards of directors, including setting up meetings and recording minutes
  • Have experience supporting teams, organizing events, or coordinating complex schedules
