Communications Manager

Summary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, consumer communications, or a related role
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of the food retail industry
• Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including partners and media
• Experience working directly with senior executives
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to act as a spokesperson
• Experience in B2B communications and event management
• Proficiency in Google Workspace Suite or similar software

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive industry-vertical communications strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
• Leverage a variety of external communication channels, including media relations, public relations, social media, and investor relations to effectively communicate the Wing narrative to consumers and Wing partners
• Craft clear, concise, and impactful messaging that resonates with target audiences
• Manage relationships with key partner communications teams to co-create impactful communications campaigns for Wing and for our partners
• Monitor media coverage and provide insights to senior leadership
• Work closely across the Wing organization to find and share relevant messaging externally
• Assist in crisis communication planning and execution
• Partner with senior executives to develop and execute their communication strategies to advance our reputation with current and potential partners
• Draft and edit speeches, presentations, talking points, and other executive communication materials for leaders in our business development and partner organizations
• Ensure consistent messaging across all executive communications

Preferred Qualifications

• Agency experience preferred
• Media training and coaching experience
• Knowledge of digital and social media strategies
• Bilingual written and verbal communication in Spanish
