Summary
Join Starface World, a complexion brand reinventing acne-prone skincare, as a Part-Time Freelance Social Media Coordinator. Support and engage with user-generated content (UGC) on Instagram and TikTok, representing the brand's voice. Ideal candidates are reliable, motivated college students or recent grads with strong social media skills, relationship-building abilities, and a deep understanding of Starface's brand. This 3-month contract (with possible extension) involves up to 20 hours per week, including weekday monitoring and weekend UGC management. Responsibilities include responding to DMs, monitoring comments, reposting content, and providing weekly recaps. The role is fully remote, with a preference for NYC-based candidates.
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of active experience with social media, and consider yourself super Instagram and TikTok-savvy
- You have a strong understanding of the Starface brand and voice, and can represent us well
- You are highly organized with impeccable attention detail & pride yourself on getting every little thing (and the big things) just right
- You have a customer/community-first mentality and a strong sense of urgency when it comes to community engagement
- You have strong problem solving skills - you think fast on your feet and can be scrappy, creative, and pivot when things donβt go as planned
- You have strong written communication skills
- You are available to work 2 hours per day on weekdays, and up to 10 hours on weekends
Responsibilities
- Be available up to 2 hours per day for Slacks, calls, and checkins
- Monitor and respond to all Instagram DMs
- Monitor all Instagram and TikTok comments, flagging any concerns to the social team
- Monitor Instagram tagged posts - hiding spam content, flagging any vip mentions
- Check in (via Slack) the days before and after coverage (typically Friday and Monday mornings)
- Support influencer launch seeding if needed
- Work up to 5 hours per day to monitor, repost, and flag UGC and community engagement during our βoffβ hours
- Upload and post pre-approved static images, reels, copy, and similar to Instagram and TikTok
- Repost select UGC to Instagram stories
- Monitor and comment on Instagram tagged posts - hiding spam content, flagging any vip mentions, and more as needed
- Provide recaps for the Starface social team to review on Monday
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality is a plus!

- The compensation for this role is $25/hour
