Summary
Join Outliant's Willow venture, a telemedicine weight loss company, as a Content Moderator! You will play a vital role in maintaining positive and brand-safe online communities. Responsibilities include moderating social media comments, responding to inquiries, and managing a patient Facebook group. You will collaborate with marketing and patient services teams to ensure a supportive environment. This junior-mid level role requires experience in content moderation and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field (or relevant experience)
- 1–2 years of experience in content moderation, social media management, or community management
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and their moderation tools
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey empathy, clarity, and professionalism in responses
- Ability to handle sensitive topics like healthcare and weight management
- Detail-oriented, with strong judgment skills to identify potentially risky or harmful content
- Empathetic and patient-focused, with a genuine desire to help people feel supported and informed
- Organized and able to manage multiple channels and tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and taking feedback to refine processes
Responsibilities
- Review and moderate comments on advertisements across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram)
- Respond to questions promptly, ensuring that all information shared is accurate, and brand-compliant
- Identify and remove any inappropriate, offensive, or false content, ensuring our brand’s reputation remains intact
- Moderate a private Facebook Group for Willow patients, encouraging respectful, positive, and productive conversations
- Answer or address patient questions about Willow’s services in a timely, accurate manner
- Identify and escalate urgent or sensitive concerns to the appropriate internal teams (e.g., Patient Services, Operations)
- Foster a sense of community and support by initiating discussions, sharing relevant updates, and recognizing patient successes
- Ensure all moderated content aligns with Willow’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and messaging
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Patient Services teams to address feedback or issues that require official responses
- Track recurring questions, comments, or concerns to help Willow improve our FAQs, social media guidelines, and other resources
- Provide insights and recommendations to refine community engagement strategies and moderation processes
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of telemedicine, healthcare, or weight loss treatments is a plus (training provided)
