Summary
Join HackerOne as a Compensation Manager and contribute to the design, administration, and improvement of global compensation programs. You will support base pay, variable pay, equity, and compensation-related analytics, ensuring competitive strategies aligned with the company's talent philosophy. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Operations & Strategy Partners. The position is remote, based in Washington, DC, with occasional in-person requirements. You will analyze compensation data, provide insights, and ensure compliance with regulations. Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation or total rewards, ideally in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment
- Strong analytical and modeling skills with proven experience in Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Experience working with people data and compensation analytics to identify trends, develop insights, and present data in a clear and compelling way
- Experience supporting job architecture, market pricing, and compensation planning cycles in Workday or a similar HRIS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex compensation concepts clearly
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Act as a key partner in people analytics, analyzing compensation and workforce data to identify trends, surface insights, and help tell the story behind the numbers. Partner with the Senior Manager, Total Rewards & People Systems to build data narratives that support decision-making across the People team and broader business
Responsibilities
- Partner on the ongoing management and administration of global compensation programs including job architecture, pay ranges, market analysis, and compensation planning cycles
- Support Talent Operations & Strategy Partners and Finance in workforce planning, compensation budgeting, and aligning programs with performance goals
- Collaborate during the annual compensation review cycle, including merit and equity planning; ensure accurate execution in Workday
- Analyze compensation data and trends; provide insights and recommendations to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness
- Serve as a key partner on compensation philosophy, policy guidance, and compliance with U.S. and international regulations
- Assist in administering compensation benchmarking surveys and maintaining competitive market data libraries
- Work with Talent Acquisition to provide offer support and ensure competitive offer practices globally
- Help develop and deliver compensation training and enablement resources for managers and People team partners
- Collaborate with the Senior HRIS Manager to inform and shape dashboards and reporting that support compensation analytics and governance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with equity compensation and understanding private and public equity practices
- Global compensation experience, especially in EMEA or APAC regions
- Experience in process improvement, automation, or compensation technology tools
- Proven success in maintaining or iterating on compensation frameworks in dynamic environments
