Summary

Join Our Future Health, the UK’s largest health research program, and contribute to the Recontact program as a Content Designer. You will design and develop content for digital products and services, ensuring accessibility and alignment with brand messaging. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers remote work flexibility within the UK. The role involves collaborating with designers and behavioral scientists, using data to inform content decisions, and iterating style guides. You will champion content design best practices and communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders. The position requires proven experience in content design and a strong writing ability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Content Designer and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Excellent understanding of content design, including usability and accessibility
  • Evidence of championing content design to a wide-ranging group of stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary team, designing and developing content to achieve measurable outcomes
  • Experience of creating technical documentation and/or scientifically complex content, in lockstep with subject matter experts
  • Habitually uses data and research to inform content development
  • Able to clearly communicate content design decisions, take on-board feedback, and work in an open and collaborative way

Responsibilities

  • Designing new content for our digital products or services
  • Identifying the language we should use to communicate nuanced and potentially delicate health topics
  • Prototyping and testing content, working closely with designers and behavioural scientists
  • Using data and research as evidence to inform your content design
  • Ensuring all content is accessible, usable, and aligned to our brand messaging
  • Helping to iterate our style guides and content standards, so that consistency is maintained across platforms and materials
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation to clearly and correctly represent complex requirements and processes

Preferred Qualifications

Experience of working in the healthcare sector and/or a non-profit environment is desirable but not a necessity
