Content Enrichment Specialist - Cantonese

Summary

Join our team as a Content Enrichment Specialist and review video content in Cantonese. You will leverage your passion for pop culture and social media trends to identify patterns and provide insights into the digital landscape. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive decks for our client, reviewing video content to identify trends and applying cultural awareness to your work. Identify target audiences for marketing campaigns and be available for occasional holiday work. This is a short-term, remote contract position (4-6 weeks, 10-30 hours/week) based in Australia.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese, and ability to read traditional Chinese characters
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant job or industry
• Experience with content moderation, content review, curation, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of digital streaming products, particularly video and its ecosystem
• The ability to review information with an analytical and objective mindset in a fast paced environment
• A keen interest in/knowledge of pop culture, social media trends and creators, and trending video content
• Strong familiarity with memes, hit songs and content trends in pop culture including music, dance, gaming, beauty, fashion, film, TV, pets, comedy, and/or sports
• Familiar with popular social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Clubhouse, etc

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in our content enrichment and editorial divisions to create comprehensive decks for our client
• Review video content to identify patterns or trends in video content
• Apply a keen awareness of the cultural and political climate to all work
• Identify cultural and demographic target audiences for marketing campaigns
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
• Must be available to work occasional holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working remotely and within multicultural teams
• Experience with copywriting and proofreading, preferably with a focus on entertainment content
• Comfortable working with Google Suite, with spreadsheets and other data management tools
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in guidelines, workflows, and tools
• Knowledge of Taiwanese culture and traditions
• Familiarity with the current local social media landscape such as key influencers and trends
