Summary

Join Onit as a Content Marketing Specialist and develop and execute our content strategy to engage and educate our audience, drive brand awareness, and support lead generation. You will be responsible for creating high-quality content across various formats, managing the editorial calendar, optimizing content for search engines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires a high degree of execution and the willingness to drive our business forward through excellent content marketing. You will work independently or alongside contractors or an agency. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field and 2-4 years of experience in content marketing. A proven track record of creating compelling content and a strong understanding of SEO principles are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B software or technology environment
  • Proven track record of creating compelling content that drives engagement and supports lead generation
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot)
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and publish high-quality content across various formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, infographics, videos, and social media posts that highlight Onit’s solutions and industry insights
  • Support the Content Marketing team lead as they build and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with Onit’s business goals, drives engagement, and captures leads
  • Write, socialize, and publish content for our corporate social channels, following a pre-planned social calendar
  • Establish and follow an SLA for posting fast, ad-hoc social posts for key events and company messages, publishing them directly and collaborating with other team members
  • Optimize content for search engines to improve organic visibility and drive traffic to our website, utilizing best practices in SEO and keyword research
  • Manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content and coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather insights and materials
  • Ensure all content adheres to Onit’s brand voice and messaging guidelines, maintaining consistency across all platforms
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of content marketing initiatives, using analytics tools to track engagement metrics and make data-driven adjustments
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer success, to gather insights, align content with business objectives and customer needs, and distribute across appropriate marketing channels
  • Own and manage our “Onit Ambassadors” program to activate internal thought leaders from across the company
