Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to form solid partnerships/relationships with cross business stakeholders
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Proven planning, prioritisation, and organising skills
- Extensive exposure, interest and experience in relevant content types and a passion for the creative industry
- A strong dedication to leading collaboration through teams, with a focus on work towards positive shared outcomes
- An inquisitive, analytical, and strategic mindset
- A strong team player and contributor who embraces change and is cool under pressure
- High level of initiative, independence, and self-management
- 7+ years experience in an operational management role
- 3+ years leadership experience in a geographically distributed organisation
- Relevant demonstrable experience in building and scaling teams, flexible operational models, process optimisation, and maximising throughput
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the operational leads on their day-to-day activities, and long term development plans
- Foster a strong alignment with Envato’s values proactively managing the performance of both direct and indirect reports
- Manage conflict resolution, continuous performance assessment, and retrospective analysis to enhance team skills and capabilities
- Collaborate with the other members of the Content & Author team as necessary to ensure coordinated execution across the team
- Nurture collaborative relationships across the Operations team, and cross-business stakeholders in AU and Mexico
- Manage the budget and forecasts for the Mexico operations team
- Monitor the operational SLAs and work closely with the team leads to address any issues that could potentially impact them
- Ensure appropriate policies and standards are in place and adhered to for content with such policies developed in collaboration with key other areas such as content specialists, legal, fraud, tax and others
- Develop a detailed understanding of the projects and activities undertaken by the team, and act as the single point of contact for all things related to Content Operations in Mexico
- Be aware and accountable to your responsibilities in relation to workplace health and safety obligations, both as an employee and manager
- Align the Mexico operations team with the broader company strategy by continuously reviewing and enhancing the team structure and processes
- Work with stakeholders within and outside the team to understand where and how the Mexico content operations team can have a positive impact on the business
- Establish the goals and targets for the Mexico Operations team to reflect this impact
- Identify opportunities to innovate, automate, and simplify operational processes, where feasible
- Identify any need to update the team structure and processes as the business evolves, and implement the required changes as seamlessly as possible
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Envato’s end-to-end content onboarding processes across multiple content types. This includes an understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging technologies, Envato’s performance against industry benchmarks, and industry trends
- Participate in strategic discussions to present the capabilities of the team and/or help formulate plans to solve an emerging business challenge
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, automation frameworks, and technologies such as AI and computer vision is strongly preferred
