Join Canva's International team as the Country Manager for Mexico and lead the charge in redefining design experiences globally. Based remotely in Mexico, you will spearhead the development and execution of a multi-year growth strategy, collaborating with diverse teams across marketing, sales, product, content, and finance. This role demands strong leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep market understanding to optimize Canva's product, content, and pricing for the Mexican market. You will hire, inspire, and coach a high-performing team, build key relationships, and represent Canva as a local figurehead. Success hinges on your ability to leverage data-driven insights, translate local knowledge into product requirements, and align with Canva's mission and values.
Requirements
- You are strongly entrepreneurial
- Founder-style appetite for growing something big from a small start and working across everything from education to press
- You possess experience growing a market
- For example, as the regional GM or brand lead for a global SaaS company, or as a proven founder or growth lead in a startup in a high growth environment
- You are a proven leader
- Ability to grow, inspire, and coach high-performing teams
- You have high emotional intelligence and empathy, and are a deeply collaborative teammate
- You are a strong communicator
- Fully proficient in spoken and written English, and with the interpersonal skills to influence global and local stakeholders
- You are keenly analytical
- Deeply focused on KPIs and obsessive about driving actionable insights from disparate datasets and able to think about a marketโs performance holistically
- You are product oriented
- Passion for improving the experience of users and the ability to translate local insights into product requirements with experience localising a global product for a particular market

- Experience doing public speaking and acting as a public face to the press and other stakeholders

Responsibilities
- Act as the main leadership point of contact with responsibility for overall user and revenue growth in Mexico
- Bring together local and global teams across marketing, sales, product, content and finance to create and execute a cohesive multi-year growth strategy, and own the KPIs including MAUs and ARR
- Work closely with the regional team to optimise our product, content, pricing and packaging to meet the needs of local users, informed by a deep understanding of local market dynamics and cultural nuances across a range of audiences, including knowledge workers, SMBs, students, startup ecosystems, NGOs, and other emerging sectors
- Hire, inspire, drive and in some cases coach the in-market team, ensuring a high quality bar for impact and working closely with local speciality leads on performance management
- Partner closely with the regional team and marketing lead to shape the marketing strategy and deployment of budget
- Build and support high value relationships by acting as a local sponsor for enterprise sales, education, government, partnerships, etc
- Represent Canva as a local figurehead across press, PR, events and community
