Credit Balance Specialist

Summary

Join Ni2 Health's Revenue Cycle Team as a Credit Balance Specialist! This remote position requires resolving credit balances, processing refunds, identifying trends, and maintaining patient data confidentiality. You will also resolve accounting discrepancies, research unidentified payments, and ensure compliance. Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare, revenue cycle, or finance experience
• Proven knowledge of billing process and credit resolution
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations
• Proficiency in basic accounting techniques and ability to analyze/interpret financial data
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Outlook

Responsibilities

• Resolve credit balances accurately and in a timely manner
• Process internal and external refund requests
• Identify trends and escalate as needed
• Maintain the confidentiality of all patient demographic, financial, and medical information, adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and respond to information requests in a timely manner
• Research and resolve unidentified payments
• Maintain accurate and concise notations of workload information
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements, as well as Ni2 specific policies and procedures
