Customs Engineer

Summary

You will act as a bridge between operations and technology, developing, managing, and optimizing automations and interfaces (using tools like Lobster) for more efficient processes and real-time data connections. Your responsibilities include developing data connections and automations, identifying process improvements, working with various tools to integrate data, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with declarants and operations teams, and contributing to scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has experience with integration and automation tools, is a current declarant, possesses strong analytical skills, and communicates effectively. Requirements

• Experience with or strong affinity for integration and automation tools (e.g., Lobster, Docparser, etc.)
• You are already working as a Declarant
• You can understand functional and technical requirements and translate them into smart solutions
• You are analytically strong and can independently (or with guidance) investigate and solve technical issues
• You work in a structured way and communicate easily with colleagues at different levels

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data connections and smart automations within our customs declaration system
• Identify improvement opportunities within customs processes and translate them into automation solutions
• Work with Lobster, Docparser, and other tools to integrate data from various sources
• Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks in existing interfaces or process automations
• Actively collaborate with declarants and operations teams, international colleagues to make their processes better and smarter
• Contribute ideas on standards, process optimizations, and scalable solutions for multiple countries

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or interest in customs/logistics processes is a plus
