Summary

Join Datacom as a Senior Solutions Executive for Data Centres, acting as the second-in-command to the sales team leader. You will be responsible for closing sales, managing daily operations, and mentoring a team of Solutions Executives and Consultants to achieve sales targets. This role involves generating leads, responding to inquiries, and providing subject matter expertise for bids. The position offers leadership development opportunities without direct reports, providing guidance and support from the data centre sales team leader. Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of data centre products
  • Strong financial management and pricing practices
  • Experience as part of a successful team to achieve sales objectives
  • Experience in negotiating business contracts
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers and the company
  • Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties
  • The ability to chair meetings and provide leadership in situations with tight delivery timeframes
  • Ability to transform customer requirements into a technical solution and work according to deadlines
  • Excellent RFI/RFP response writing

Responsibilities

  • Achieving individual sales targets by taking ownership of assigned opportunities
  • Meeting agreed team sales targets by supporting others as required, while championing and building a strong team culture and fostering collaboration
  • Lead bid manager and assigning bids to the team (in consultation with the manager of sales) as required
  • Mentoring of Solutions Executives and Solutions Consultant roles to support them to meet their individual sales targets
  • Contracting of new customers and management of the initial handover of customers into the onboarding process with our Customer team
  • Management of individual and team pipelines and tracking of opportunities in the Datacom
  • Developing and managing sales initiatives to deliver tactical results
