Data Operations Intern

Summary

Join Precisely's Summer Internship Program, a paid, part-time, 10-week remote opportunity for undergraduate students in the US. As a Data Operations Intern, you will work with the Data Operations & Enterprise Architecture team, focusing on improving data quality in various enterprise systems. You will use data science principles to organize account data, develop a rules engine for data enrichment, and analyze data using various tools. The program runs from June 9th to August 15th and offers valuable experience in a tech company setting.

Requirements

• Be a rising junior or senior undergraduate student
• Sharpen problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to develop confidence in being uncomfortable with uncertainty and adapt to the changing demands of working on data projects
• Ability to develop new skills or hone existing skills in SQL, Python, Silectis Magpie, Tableau, and Salesforce
• Understand the importance of storytelling and presentation in a business setting
• Possess strong analytic skills including Excel Pivot Tables, Excel Power Pivot, Excel Get & Transform (Wrangle), Tableau, and scripting languages
• Have familiarity with ANSI SQL language and Python
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
• Be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Improve the quality of master data to reflect customer and product strategy, segmentation and to enable better insights to be generated from the data by aligning named accounts to the defined categories
• Start developing a Rules Engine for using the enrichment data to ensure correct enrichment granularity, using tools such as Silectis Magpie, Workato, Microsoft Power Automate, Precisely Data Integrity Suite, and SSIS
• Analyze source and target systems data using tools such as Snowflake, MS SQL, Azure SQL, Trillium DQ, Tableau, Python and Microsoft Excel to define the categories of organizational legal structures and identify the enrichment characteristics that define them
