Summary

Join Traject Data as a Sales Director to lead revenue growth via prospecting, managing, and closing larger deals. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of sales success, experience selling technical data-oriented products, and building out new sales functions from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Sales Expertise: 5+ years of experience in mid-market to enterprise sales ($50-100k ACV) with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience selling data, API or technical products or solutions, with the ability to understand and convey complex data value and technical information to diverse stakeholders. Experience with HubSpot is a plus
  • Analytical and Forecasting Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data, maintain accurate forecasts, and make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align on goals and drive business outcomes
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic relationships with key accounts, driving long-term growth and customer retention

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed the quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement strategies to identify, target, and convert high-potential prospects into revenue-generating customers. Actively manage and nurture a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent deal flow and meet/exceed quota
  • Cultivate Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with key accounts. Identify and pursue upsell opportunities, ensuring these accounts receive continuous value from our solutions, and proactively mitigate churn risks
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align on market strategy, customer needs, and product enhancements. Provide valuable customer insights to inform product development
  • Provide Accurate Forecasting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Leverage data analytics to predict future sales performance, adjust strategies, and ensure you are on track to meet or exceed targets
