Summary
Join Xometry as the Director of Accounts Payable and lead a team of AP professionals, overseeing all aspects of accounts payable, from invoice processing to vendor payments. Develop and execute a comprehensive AP strategy aligned with business goals, leading and developing a high-performing team. You will identify and implement process improvements, oversee AP systems and technologies, and establish strong internal controls. Build relationships with vendors, provide insightful reports, and collaborate with other departments to streamline processes. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain strong internal controls. This role requires strong leadership, AP expertise, and a collaborative approach.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in accounts payable operations, including process improvement and system implementation, and 2-4 years of progressive leadership experience
- Proven ability to recruit, build, lead and develop a high-performing team
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other accounting software
- Ability to identify and resolve complex AP issues
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the Accounts Payable (AP) function, aligned with overall business goals
- Lead and develop a high-performing AP team, fostering a culture of efficiency and accuracy
- Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of AP systems and technologies
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with SOX and accounting standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely payments and resolve disputes
- Develop and provide insightful reports and analysis on AP performance metrics
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Finance and Operations, to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain strong internal controls
