Summary

Join Biffa as a Senior Account Manager to lead the UK-wide Amazon account, their largest contract within the IRM division. This role oversees operational delivery across multiple Amazon sites, supporting a team of 35 Contract Managers. You will be responsible for service excellence and continued growth, delivering regular updates and presentations to key stakeholders. The position requires strong financial and commercial awareness, proven leadership skills, and experience in stakeholder engagement. A background in service delivery and contract performance management is essential, along with knowledge of waste management or similar industries. This is a remote position reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounts (IRM).

Requirements

• Background in service delivery and contract performance management
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, including P&L responsibility
• Proven ability to lead, support and coordinate teams across multiple sites
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and confident presenting at senior level
• Knowledge of waste management, logistics, or similar industries
• Full UK driving licence with flexibility for national travel

Responsibilities

• Oversee service performance and compliance across the Amazon estate
• Deliver regular updates and presentations to key customer stakeholders
• Engage with senior client stakeholders and fulfil the role of a credible “Critical Friend”
• Manage mobilisation of new sites, ensuring operational readiness
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver account targets
• Ensure financial control and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead implementation
• Support and coordinate a consistent approach across all Contract Managers
