Summary

Join our client, a B2B SaaS Venture Studio, as a Senior Director or VP of Marketing! This hands-on role demands a strategic thinker who also excels in execution. You will be responsible for marketing both the VC brand and its portfolio of venture companies, developing and implementing marketing strategies from the ground up. This is a 25-35 hours/week, fully remote (CST/EST hours) 16-week contract (with potential extension into 2026). The ideal candidate possesses extensive B2B marketing experience in tech, SaaS, AI, or venture capital, with a proven track record of success. You will build marketing operations, execute campaigns, and manage the marketing tech stack.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience with significant time in tech, SaaS, AI, or venture capital environments
  • Proven track record in venture capital, startup, or high-growth technology marketing
  • Hands-on execution experience - must be comfortable personally managing campaigns, tools, and tactical implementation
  • SMB market expertise - deep understanding of small and medium business marketing challenges and opportunities
  • Experience building marketing organizations and processes from early stages
  • Strong background in digital marketing, marketing automation, and content marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop messaging and positioning for complex B2B technology solutions
  • Track record of successful multi-brand or portfolio marketing management
  • Proficiency with marketing technology stack (HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in marketing attribution and ROI measurement
  • Comfort with AI/ML marketing tools and emerging marketing technologies
  • Basic understanding of product marketing and go-to-market strategy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience mentoring teams and providing strategic guidance to founders
  • Ability to present marketing strategies and results to executive leadership and investors
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Execute multi-channel campaigns including digital advertising, content marketing, and account-based marketing
  • Develop and maintain marketing processes, templates, and playbooks for portfolio companies
  • Build and manage marketing tech stack, automation, and attribution systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience at venture capital firms, accelerators, or venture studios
  • Experience with investor relations and fundraising marketing support
  • Track record of successful startup marketing exits or high-growth scale-ups
  • Network within the venture capital and startup ecosystem
