Join Alloy Automation as their Director, Demand Generation and drive scalable revenue growth. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will own the demand generation function, from strategy to execution and optimization. This hands-on leadership role requires building and scaling the demand generation engine, managing the sales development team, and driving qualified pipeline. You will develop and execute a multi-channel demand generation strategy, collaborate with sales leadership on goals, and identify new growth channels. The role also involves managing advertising budgets, implementing ABM strategies, creating marketing assets, and managing a team of Business Development Representatives. Success requires strategic thinking, tactical execution, and strong analytical skills.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of B2B demand generation experience, with 2+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record building demand gen functions at Series A/B startups, ideally marketing to a technical audience like Product and Engineering teams
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align long-term vision with tactical execution
- Experience managing significant advertising budgets ($300K+ annually) across multiple channels while being capital efficient
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in marketing attribution, ROI analysis, and data-driven decision making
- Experienced in hiring, training, and managing high-performing outbound BDR teams
- Deep knowledge of marketing automation platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred), CRM systems, analytic tools and marketing tech stack management
- Proven ability to motivate and develop high performing teams
- Strong technical aptitude, comfortable working with technical products and technical buyer personas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and growth-oriented, thriving in dynamic startup environments
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel demand generation strategy aligned with pipeline targets
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to set and track quarterly and annual pipeline goals
- Identify and prioritize new growth channels, website conversion optimization, and expansion opportunities, building sophisticated attribution models to track customer journey and optimize channel mix
- Plan, execute, and optimize demand generation campaigns across paid, organic, email, events, and more
- Manage and optimize the advertising budget, optimizing for CAC and LTV metrics
- Develop and implement account-based marketing (ABM) strategies for enterprise prospects
- Create and refine landing pages, lead magnets, and conversion funnels, collaborating with content marketing to develop high-converting assets
- Hire, train, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives, establishing playbooks, scripts, training programs and managing performance metrics
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, team meetings, and performance reviews to drive growth and development
- Own demand generation analytics, providing regular performance reports to leadership
- Implement advanced lead scoring systems, qualification frameworks, and A/B testing across campaigns
- Build dashboards to track full-funnel performance by channel, ROI, and identify trends for ongoing optimization
