Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a financial or accounting leadership role, preferably with a start up or growth-minded company
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements
  • Proven working experience with Netsuite
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive financial performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth environments

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure execution of all accounting tasks including client billing and collections, vendor billing and payments, month end reconciliations, expense management and processing
  • Prepare and present monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Burn Rate reports to provide clear visibility into financial performance
  • Ensure accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and uphold strong internal controls
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to inform decision-making and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and execute the financial strategy to support the company's growth, product development, and profitability goals
  • Manage financial reporting to the Board and investors, delivering updates and insights on company performance and projections
  • Direct treasury functions to optimize cash flow, investment, and financial performance
  • Lead and eventually develop the finance team, promoting a culture of the highest level of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Identify and manage financial risks to protect company assets, mitigate exposure, and support long-term resilience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Implement data-driven insights and predictive analytics to guide business performance and growth. Collaborate with the Product and Operations teams to integrate financial insights
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change, building adaptable processes in dynamic, high-growth environments
  • Collaborate with the President and executive team to explore strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or M&A opportunities and assess the financial impact of new ventures
  • Ability to contribute to future fundraising initiatives, support relationship management with investors, and develop capital allocation strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives
