Summary

The Director of Analytics & Data will develop a data strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, collaborate with stakeholders, lead a multi-disciplinary team, manage relationships with external vendors, and ensure data quality. The role requires strong managerial skills, communication abilities, experience in BI/Analytics, data analysis, SQL, PowerBI, and Python.

Requirements

  • Strong managerial skills with excellent communication
  • Proven experience in managing BI/Analytics functions at a senior level
  • Solid experience in data analysis and reporting (experience within iGaming is a plus)
  • Background in market research and project management as well as experience gathering requirements from various stakeholders across the business
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, SAS, PowerBI and/or other data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience in cooperating/presenting to C-level and boards
  • Understanding of Python and web analytics tools such as GoogleTag Manager and Google Analytics
  • Outstanding analytical skills coupled with strong organisational abilities
  • Attention to detail with a problem-solving aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Data and Analytics strategy that aligns with the organization’s business goals
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary data and analytics function effectively
  • Ensure the delivery of the BI and analytics strategy
  • Work closely with Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Product & Commercial as close stakeholders
  • Ensure that your team translates multiple data sources into valuable business insights
  • Implement standard, self-service reporting and Generative BI solutions
  • Liaise with executives and other key stakeholders to define company-wide metrics and identify relevant data sources
  • Head the selection and implementation of BI-related solutions
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data architectures, data models, data lakes, and data warehouses using an AI & ML first approach
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the health & efficiency of the function
  • Oversee and document all actions to correct data discrepancies and ensure data quality
  • Continuously assess and improve the performance of Analytics & Reporting solutions
  • Manage relationships with external BI and analytics vendors, including evaluating and negotiating contracts for software and services
  • Work with Information Security to identify and mitigate risks associated with Data Management, Analytics, and reporting
  • Apply industry knowledge and best practices
  • Keep abreast of industry news and trends
  • Perform any other ad hoc job-related duties as required

Preferred Qualifications

BSc/BA in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management or a related field would be a plus
