Summary

Join Tekmetric as the Director/Head of Brand and Community, a newly created role focused on building a best-in-class brand engine. You will shape Tekmetric's identity, elevate its thought leadership, and foster a sense of belonging among customers and the industry. Responsibilities include leading brand strategy, content creation, community engagement, PR, and communications. You will build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate is a visionary brand leader with 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, community building, or related fields, ideally in high-growth SaaS or customer-centric industries. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Build a Movement: Turn Tekmetric’s vision into an industry-wide conversation. Identify and amplify trends, challenges, and opportunities that matter to shop owners, and lead the narrative through strategic content, thought leadership, and community initiatives. Inspire a movement around elevating the auto repair experience for shops, their teams, and their customers
  • Lead & Inspire: Build and mentor a high-performing team of creative marketers, acting as a player/coach to drive innovation, collaboration, and results. Foster a culture of bold ideas, authentic storytelling, and continuous learning
  • Brand Strategy: Own and evolve Tekmetric’s brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to reflect our values, vision, and market leadership. Ensure consistency and resonance across every customer and market-facing experience
  • Thought Leadership & Content Creation: Lead the development of influential, multi-channel content (written, video, audio, social, visual) that positions Tekmetric and its leaders as visionary voices in the space. Partner with executives to craft thought leadership that resonates inside and outside the industry. Create content that educates, provokes, and engages
  • Community & Advocacy : Design and scale programs that activate, engage, and celebrate our community of shop owners including our active user group, peer networks, social groups, and regional events. Build systems to identify and elevate customer champions, turning their wins into stories that inspire others
  • PR & Communications : Lead external communications, including media relations, press releases, awards submissions, and brand-level announcements. Manage our executive voice in the market, developing media opportunities and speaking engagements that reinforce our thought leadership
  • Design: Oversee the design function to ensure our visual identity is both consistent and evolving, capturing the energy of our brand and industry movement
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with teams across the business including Product, Customer Experience, Sales, People, and more to ensure brand and community are woven into every customer and employee interaction
  • Measure What Matters : Define and track KPIs across brand awareness, content performance, thought leadership reach, and community engagement. Use data to inform decisions, identify opportunities, and continuously raise the bar

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus - You have experience working in or adjacent to industries like automotive, trades, small business, or vertical SaaS
