Director of Business Development

Summary

Join Blockstream's growing enterprise solutions team as a Director, focusing on production and revenue targets. Bridge the gap between Bitcoin infrastructure and traditional finance. Coordinate enterprise go-to-market strategies, lead client engagements, and drive product adoption. This role involves managing a team of account executives, building executive relationships, and representing Blockstream at industry events. You will work closely with various teams to achieve shared objectives and report directly to the VP of Enterprise Products. Success in this role requires a proven track record of exceeding targets in complex sales environments and a deep understanding of both traditional finance and Bitcoin/blockchain technologies.

Requirements

• Strong experience in a managing director or director-level role, preferably within enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, product strategy, or business development within fintech, digital assets, or financial services
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding production targets in complex, consultative selling environments
• Deep understanding of both traditional finance (capital markets, banking infrastructure) and Bitcoin/blockchain technologies
• Exceptional ability to lead teams and coordinate efforts across departments, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical and executive audiences
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations at multiple levels

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver against enterprise-level production targets tied to product sales and partnerships
• Onboard, mentor and coordinate a team of account executives, helping them navigate the complex intersection of digital assets and traditional finance
• Take the lead in high-impact meetings initiated by account executives with institutional clients across banking, asset management, and fintech
• Establish and cultivate executive and board-level relationships with decision-makers at traditional financial institutions
• Representing Blockstream at industry events where you have cultivated relationships in traditional finance throughout your career
• Work closely with various teams across the enterprise unit to ensure alignment on shared objectives; collaboration with your Director-level counterparts will be paramount
