Director of Content & Communications

Jellyvision
Summary
Join Jellyvision as their Director of Content & Communications to lead their messaging strategy, content execution, and narrative consistency across channels. This role involves developing a strategic point of view, translating positioning into programs, and empowering the team to execute with clarity and cohesion. You will be responsible for the messaging framework, campaign calendar, and connecting product marketing, demand generation, and creative teams. Success will be measured by the adoption of the messaging framework, clear narratives resonating with key audiences, improved message pull-through, coordinated campaigns, performance lift in engagement, SEO and blog performance improvements, and a better website experience. The role also includes executive and corporate communications, managing 1-2 team members, and overseeing cross-functional collaboration. The position is remote and offers a starting salary of $160,000-$200,000.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in B2B content or communications, ideally in SaaS, tech, or HR/benefits
- Proven ability to create and lead messaging strategy across complex products or multi-audience environments
- Experience building and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Equal parts strategic and hands-on—you can see the big picture and write the blog post
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, sales, and creative partners
- Strong editorial instincts, sharp writing skills, and an eye for elevating content
- AI-savvy: you embrace tools that enhance speed, quality, and scale, without compromising voice or accuracy
- Familiarity with SEO strategy and content performance metrics
Responsibilities
- Support the development and evolution of our messaging framework and positioning strategy in close partnership with the VP of Marketing and Product Marketing
- Translate product positioning into clear, differentiated messages across audiences and use cases
- Partner with product marketing to ensure messaging consistency across launches, product pages, sales enablement, and demand campaigns
- Pressure-test upstream positioning to ensure it resonates in the market—digging beyond surface-level product descriptions to shape messaging that’s actually compelling to brokers, HR, and other key audiences
- Work cross-functionally to build and drive campaign themes that align to the buyer journey, business priorities and market trends
- Own campaign messaging architecture and content execution, with support from the VP of Marketing and Product Marketing on overarching themes and hooks: What’s the hook? What do we need to say? Who are we saying it to?
- Oversee content strategy for campaign execution across paid, web, email, and social (in partnership with content owners)
- Own the content calendar across blog, website, resource center, product content, and strategic communications, and play an active role in our upcoming website overhaul, helping shape narrative, structure, and content experience
- Ensure content is aligned to our positioning, optimized for SEO, and prioritized by business impact
- Provide editorial guidance and quality control across content types—hands-on editing, not just strategy
- Work with demand gen to ensure content drives measurable outcomes tied to funnel stage and conversion
- Collaborate with our agency partner on SEO-focused content, ensuring it aligns with our messaging, campaign themes, and performance goals
- Partner with the VP of Marketing and external PR agency to ensure our media presence aligns with product positioning, market narrative, and campaign priorities
- Coordinate across PR, execs, and content stakeholders to drive clear, consistent messaging in external-facing materials
- Support executive comms, thought leadership, and partner messaging that aligns with brand tone and strategic goals
- You’ll manage 1–2 team members and oversee cross-functional collaboration with creative, PR, and demand gen
- Collaborate closely with product marketing, demand gen, creative, and PR to ensure campaigns are well-resourced, well-timed, and well-messaged
- Establish content performance metrics in partnership with demand gen and analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HR tech, employee benefits, or selling to both brokers and HR buyers
- Background in brand voice, executive comms, or agency storytelling work
Benefits
- Remote work
- $160,000 - $200,000
