Summary

Join HackerOne as a Corporate Development Director and spearhead M&A and competitive intelligence initiatives. This critical role shapes the company's growth by identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisitions and strategic partnerships. You will leverage advanced financial analysis expertise and a strategic mindset to build relationships, navigate complex transactions, and deliver impactful outcomes. The position is primarily remote, based in Seattle, WA or the San Francisco Bay Area, with occasional in-person requirements. Success in the first 90 days involves aligning on a strategic opportunity map and shortlisting acquisition or partnership targets. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, and investment banking
  • Proven ability to build high quality relationships with entrepreneurs and senior executives

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a competitive and market intelligence framework to monitor market trends and competitors
  • Engage with Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Product Officer to develop strategic opportunity map, aligned with the company’s growth strategy
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition and partnership opportunities aligned with the company’s growth strategy
  • Engage business partners as appropriate to sponsor deals
  • Enable and collaborate with sponsoring business partners to develop detailed business cases, deal rationale, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders. Requires crisp, executive-level storytelling
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deal execution and post-merger integration
  • Help negotiate terms and agreements with external partners to secure favorable outcomes for the company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and strategic analysis for transactions
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex deal negotiations
