Summary

The Director of Development Strategy and Support at PlayStation Studios will manage the global portfolio title review process, foster collaborative relationships, proactively monitor game development projects, recommend solutions, develop operational KPIs, maintain a knowledgebase of best practices, and ensure confidentiality. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of games industry experience in a leadership role, is familiar with various tools for validating assumptions about game development projects, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of [8+] years of games industry experience, in a leadership role in game production or development project management
  • Solid understanding of the entire game development lifecycle (GDLC)
  • Ability to review & analyze development stage deliverables
  • Familiarity with a wide range of β€˜tools of the trade’ to validate assumptions about a game development project
  • Excellent and personable communicator
  • Strong presentation skills and experience collaborating and facilitating communications with global teams across different time zones and all levels of the organization
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. (and ideally their Google Suite counterparts)

Responsibilities

  • Drive, manage and facilitate the global portfolio title review process across PlayStation Studios
  • Track and report on multiple projects in various development stages
  • Coordinate internal reviews and assist in collecting and reviewing materials
  • Drive follow-up actions based on title review and assessment
  • Foster positive and collaborative working relationships with development teams, executive leadership, and support groups
  • Pro-actively monitor the portfolio of games in development at PlayStation Studios
  • Recommend and help drive solutions, opportunities, and mitigate risks based on title review and assessment
  • Continuously develop, refine, and implement process improvements
  • Develop and use operational KPI’s focused on increased process maturity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: bachelor’s degree or greater
  • Project Management Certification
