Requirements

• Computer Science Degree, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated history of management of large engineering teams (15+ engineers)
• 10+ years software engineering experience and 3+ years people management experience
• Experience leading and developing both managers and individual contributors
• Proven ability to hire and manage exceptional engineers and technical managers
• Experience operating critical production systems with high-uptime requirements
• Knowledge of best practices for robust, high-availability design
• Ability to understand key details to provide provably correct systems

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of high-performing technical teams responsible for a key component of the Voleon technology platform
• Operationalize the outputs of the research organization and power the trading engine
• Develop abstractions that encapsulate core business logic for the entire firm
• Develop and own the systems that execute, reconcile, and bookkeep the trading operations each day
• Ensure high-performance and high-availability of services
• Bring exceptional attention to detail to your work, ensuring precision and correctness across all dimensions
• Develop deep observability across all these systems
• Grow an operations team responsible for the implementation of these systems
• Work directly with the VP of Engineering to execute on your vision for your team
• Grow and scale your team according to a roadmap that you develop and own
• Mentor and grow managers and individual contributors to deliver ever more from your organization
• Collaborate with peers in engineering and stakeholders in research to balance a diverse set of requirements
