Join PolicyMe, a remote-first Toronto-based startup, as our Director of Partnerships! This strategic role focuses on managing key insurance and distribution partnerships, driving partner-linked projects, and contributing to our internal operating model. It's not a sales position; instead, it demands strong cross-functional collaboration, sound judgment, and influencing skills. You will report to the VP of Business Operations and work closely with PolicyMe leadership. The role involves approximately 80% partnership management and 20% business operations and strategic projects. PolicyMe is modernizing the Canadian insurance landscape, offering straightforward and affordable financial protection.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience in partnerships, strategic operations, consulting, or similar roles
- Proven ability to manage complex partner relationships with empathy and precision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong executive presence
- Exceptionally organized with a knack for documentation and follow-through
- Politically aware and emotionally intelligent; knows how to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Curious, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and taking initiative
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day engagement with key strategic partners, including planning, operations, and communication
- Represent PolicyMe in high-stakes partner meetings with executive presence and discretion
- Ensure successful delivery of partnership obligations and roadmap initiatives
- Guide new partner activations from contract to launch in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Translate partner feedback and needs into internal priorities and actions
- Support VP of Business Operations on broader org-wide initiatives (e.g., compliance, privacy, legal, enterprise risk)
- Contribute to partner systems and enablement playbooks
- Own special projects and provide leverage across business priorities as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is considered an asset
- Experience managing enterprise partner activations
- Familiarity with compliance, privacy, or legal coordination is considered an asset
- Experience in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments is considered an asset
