Join a premier provider of stock and custom cannabis packaging solutions as their Vice President of Sales. Lead revenue strategy and execution across core and emerging business lines. Manage and develop a high-performing sales team. Spearhead initiatives to accelerate top-line growth in both cannabis and traditional packaging markets. This remote position requires 35%+ travel, including monthly visits to corporate headquarters. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in B2B packaging, with cannabis sector knowledge a plus. They will be responsible for business development, sales leadership, revenue strategy, market expansion, process optimization, and reporting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in B2B packaging; cannabis sector knowledge a strong plus
- Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate successful sales teams in high-growth environments
- Deep understanding of the packaging supply chain and customer buying cycles
- Experience selling into both emerging and established industries
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Willingness to travel 35%+ and visit corporate HQ monthly
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), ensuring alignment with overall sales strategy
- Identify and develop new revenue channels across existing and emerging markets
- Forge strategic partnerships and alliances that support company growth objectives
- Work closely with the marketing team to support lead generation and brand positioning efforts
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team aligned with company goals
- Implement structured performance management, coaching, and development programs
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Own and drive the sales strategy for both cannabis packaging and the new traditional packaging division
- Establish, track, and report on revenue goals, KPIs, and forecasts across all business lines
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and executive leadership to align initiatives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both regulated cannabis and traditional packaging sectors
- Maintain deep understanding of evolving customer needs and industry dynamics
- Serve as a senior point of contact for key accounts and high-value negotiation
- Optimize sales processes, tools, and team structure for scalability and efficiency
- Utilize CRM and data insights to guide decision-making and performance improvements
- Report sales performance, pipeline health, and market trends to the COO and executive team
