Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in packaging engineering, with a proven track record of building scalable and compliant packaging systems in the pharmaceutical, OTC drugs, or related industries
  • Expertise in designing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials, including automation integration
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical packaging and cold chain logistics
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving end-to-end ownership of packaging processes
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Passion for innovation and sustainability in packaging design
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
  • 20% Domestic Travel

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the conduit between IRD, Marketing, Pharmacy Operations, and Finance, ensuring strategic alignment and cohesive development and implementation of packaging solutions
  • Evaluate and source materials that balance innovation, cost, and environmental impact
  • Oversee the validation, testing, and troubleshooting of packaging systems, ensuring safety and performance
  • Facilitate cross-functional team input to develop packaging that balances design, functionality, and compliance, considering the trade-offs in decision-making processes
  • Ensure all packaging meets regulatory standards, overseeing testing and adaptation to meet these requirements without compromising design
  • Integrate cutting-edge automation solutions to enhance scalability and efficiency of packaging operations
  • Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure the packaging aligns with Roโ€™s brand and marketing strategies, enhancing the overall customer experience
