Join Deel, a rapidly growing SaaS company, as a Director, Product to lead the development, localization, and scaling of payroll products globally. You will oversee a team, drive multi-country localization, and manage platform integrations. This critical role ensures seamless payroll solutions meeting legal and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong product management expertise in global payroll or HR technology, proven leadership of product teams, and hands-on experience with multi-country HR and payroll platforms. You will define and execute the global payroll product roadmap, lead product teams, and drive localization strategies. Success in this role demands expertise in multi-country payroll compliance and system integration.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in product management experience, with demonstrated track record in global payroll or HR technology domains
  • Translate customer feedback, market research, and regulatory updates into actionable product improvements
  • Proven success in leading product teams, including architects and specialists, to deliver multi-country payroll solutions
  • Hands-on experience with development of multi-country HR and payroll platforms
  • Expertise in multi-country payroll compliance, localization, and system integration
  • Ensure effective post-deployment handovers and knowledge sharing with relevant teams
  • Payroll certifications (e.g., CPP, IPPM) or relevant technical credentials

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global payroll product roadmap with a focus on compliance, scalability, and customer needs
  • Lead a team of Product Architects and Product Specialists to design, develop, and implement payroll solutions that align with business objectives and customer needs
  • Drive multi-country localisation strategies to meet diverse regulatory, tax, and payroll requirements
  • Ensure alignment between payroll product development and the company’s broader objectives
  • Establish scalable frameworks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product development and implementation lifecycles
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable, innovative workflows and systems
  • Oversee the localization of payroll products, ensuring alignment with specific country tax, compliance, and labour laws
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to proactively adapt products to regulatory changes
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) and QA teams to verify that all builds meet compliance standards
  • Approve product delivery and ensure adherence to functional, technical, and legislative requirements
  • Establish OKRs and performance metrics for payroll products, including compliance, accuracy, and user satisfaction
