Summary

Join our Marketing & Communications team as a remote Marketing Copywriter! This 3-6 month contract position (with potential for full-time employment) offers 20-40 hours per week at $60/hour. Requirements

  • 3+ years of copywriting experience in marketing, advertising, or content strategy (higher education experience is a plus)
  • Proven ability to write for multiple mediums, including web, social media, digital ads, video, and print
  • Strong understanding of UX writing principles, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and action-driven content
  • Experience developing copy for social media platforms with an understanding of engagement strategies
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to balance creativity with strategic marketing goals
  • Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the team

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit clear, engaging, and persuasive content for various marketing channels, including web, email campaigns, social media, digital ads, video scripts, and print collateral
  • Develop copy that speaks primarily to prospective students, addressing their needs, interests, and motivations
  • Adapt messaging and tone for different platforms and audiences while maintaining a cohesive brand voice
  • Collaborate with designers and content strategists to create visually compelling and high-impact marketing materials
  • Optimize copy for UX and SEO best practices, ensuring web content is both user-friendly and discoverable
  • Write social media copy tailored to different platforms, balancing creativity with strategy
  • Conduct research and gather insights to inform messaging strategies
  • Proofread and edit copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor messaging, and best practices in higher education marketing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools to assess content performance
