Summary

Join the National Safety Council, America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate, as an Education Program Manager. You will design and implement impactful educational initiatives for NSC's members, requiring expertise in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and program management. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree), along with proven success in education program development and stakeholder engagement. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of education, at least 6 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in education program development, nonprofit management or stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships with a wide range of individuals and organizations
  • Proven track record of working with executives and high-level partners to advance shared goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to convey complex ideas clearly and build consensus
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish or Portuguese preferred
  • Comfortable using digital collaboration tools, such as Box, Teams, and Smartsheet

Responsibilities

  • Define the main objectives of the projects, their purpose, and the scope
  • Create integrated and ongoing project plans to include key deliverables and milestones, and the tasks required to complete each
  • Execute the work or assign work as part of the plan
  • Monitor and control the processes/tasks associated with the project
  • Serve as primary contact for speakers
  • Work with skilled volunteers to shape program content and delivery methods
  • Engage in regular communication with and build relationships in all directions (e.g., peers, supervisors, funders, stakeholders) to advance the effectiveness of the program
  • Support speaker identification, onboarding, and coordination for educational offerings
  • Support and encourage programs that incorporate the diversity of stakeholders’ learning styles and perspectives, add interest and are appropriate for people of different levels
  • Build and keep strong, trust-based relationships with a mix of people at different professional levels, including educators, nonprofit partners, donors, executives, and experts
  • Serve as a strategic partner to executives and senior leaders, ensuring programs are aligned with organizational priorities and stakeholder needs
  • Work cross-functionally with communications, development, and operations teams to ensure cohesive messaging, funding alignment, and logistical support
  • Implement feedback loops with partners and participants to assess impact and guide continuous improvement
  • Contribute to reporting, storytelling, and knowledge sharing that highlight the outcomes of relationship-centered educational initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • High level skilled volunteer management a plus
  • Salesforce experience a plus
