Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 2 years in people management
  • Strong skills with some of the technologies we use: Python, Golang, NodeJS, Typescript, React, Postgres and AWS
  • Experience with large-scale Architectural Patterns, event-driven Microservices, well-designed APIs, and efficient algorithms

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Product Management, Engineering and Customer support teams for the success of Plivo's suite of products
  • Create innovative, high-quality technology solutions and platforms significantly impacting business, driving revenue and growth
  • Partner with senior ICs for long-term technology selection, product architecture, and design
  • Provide technical guidance to the team in tactical tech decision-making and unblocking
  • Act as a trusted advisor, coach, and guide to his team
  • Build and execute a common charter between engineering and business
  • Complete responsibility and accountability for one's performance and the team's performance
  • Should be proactive in identifying areas to improve the engineering efficiency of the team
  • Ownership of SDLC processes and all quality practices in the team
  • In collaboration with the Product Manager, entirely responsible for the Sprint Planning, Execution, Sprint Demo, and Closure activities
  • Should be willing to review the architecture, design, code, test strategy, and test cases to provide the right direction to the team
  • Shall be responsible for developing an efficient plan to deliver features and provide efficient product support by setting the right priorities
  • Closely work with customer support teams to enable customer success
  • Build and sustain a firmly committed and motivated team
