You will work with existing and prospective customers to understand their software development processes and demonstrate how Chainguard's solutions meet their needs. This role involves building relationships with decision-makers, securing technical wins through various methods, and collaborating with internal teams. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of sales opportunities and assisting current customers. The ideal candidate possesses experience working with the federal government, expertise in DevOps/DevSecOps and container technologies, and a passion for improving software supply chain security. Requirements
- Experience working with the civilian side of the federal government
- People located in the DC Metro area and willing to meet with customers at their offices 2-3 times a week
- Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: DevOps / DevSecOps
- Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.)
- Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: Container vulnerability scanning, analysis, and mitigation
- Significant experience in one or more of the following areas: AppSec
- Smart and passionate people with a bias towards action and ownership
- People who can work independently and collaboratively to build trust with customers and lead them to the best solution
- People with the ability to inspire and influence others
Responsibilities
- Partner with our Public Sector sales team to help customers evaluate and understand the value of our solution
- Focus on acquiring new customer βlogosβ in addition to growing the existing customer base
- Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities and assist current customers as they grow
- Listening to our customers and understand their challenges
- Conducting product demonstrations and POVs
- Participating in webinars, meetups, conferences and other marketing initiatives
- Advocating for your customersβ needs
