Requirements
- BS in Geology, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field (Masters a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects, contaminated site characterization investigations (soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air), and implementation of remediation programs
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to successfully execute and prioritize multiple complex tasks simultaneously under various conditions
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects on-time and within budget
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Conduct Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and Property Condition Assessments (PCA), subsurface investigations, remediation work, and/or other project assignments as appropriate
- Manage Phase I/II due diligence assessments, including groundwater and soil sampling, and writing of technical reports with recommendations for remediation, as appropriate
- Provide oversight to field staff and subcontractors conducting site investigation and remediation projects
- Ensure that project deliverables, milestones, and budgets are met
- Work closely with senior managers in the coordination of work activities to meet milestones, budgetary limits, deadlines, or other performance indicators
- Prepare, review, and submit final reports in accordance with regulations, applicable guidance and policies, and internal quality control standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensed
- Experience with strategic soils management and remediation as part of site redevelopment and building construction
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, TurboCAD, and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) programs
- California Asbestos license (Certified Asbestos Consultant)
