Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous event management and production experience
  • Experience in managing hotel BEOs, contracts, room blocks and audio-visual orders
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of efficiency
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach
  • Experience in Swoogo (digital event platform) and Salesforce is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational, project, and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Knowledge of and interest in information security markets desired
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and executive presence
  • Strong work ethic and proven capacity to work effectively with minimum supervision, under pressure and tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to travel periodically throughout the year to support onsite events operations

Responsibilities

  • Manage pre-event logistics, including vendor management, venue communication, audio/visual, catering, onsite marketing materials, floor plans, travel and onsite team management
  • Measure and report on event budgets
  • Maintain and manage virtual events within the event platform
  • Propose and implement initiatives/process improvements to allow for efficiencies in the event production process
  • Ensure 100% compliance with operations delivery tracking of key internal/external deliverables
  • Support national events (Identiverse, InfoSec World and MSSP Alert Live) on an ad-hoc basis in updating speaker-related conference materials
  • Promptly and accurately respond to customer inquiries via email, and in-person interactions at events. This includes addressing questions, verifying ticket information, and investigating issues
  • Source venues and oversee contracting for custom dinners and bespoke sponsored events

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in venue contract negotiation a plus

Benefits

The compensation range for this role in New York City is $60,000 to $70,000, which does not include other compensation benefits package
